Come gather for an evening of tea, song, conversation, and cosmic relatedness—a little ceremony, a little contemplation, and a little something wonderfully strange. We’ll share tea, listen deeply, sing together, and explore the curious ways we are connected—to one another, to the natural world, and to the vastness that surrounds us. Tea becomes our grounding point: a simple cup carrying the story of earth, water, sun, leaf, human hands, and time.

The evening will move between tea ceremony, poetry, conversation, and musical offerings, creating space to slow down, get curious, and listen for what emerges when we gather with intention. And as a bonus, we’ll be celebrating the very weird and wild soul, Kami, whose birthday is on the same day! There may be cake

The Astrological Walking Yoga of Murshid SAM

Led by Yasmin Spiegel and Amina Meyer, this 7-month journey begins next month at the historic Mentorgarten in San Francisco.

• When: 3rd Saturdays of the month (Starting 9/19)

• Morning (10am–12pm): Initial Class. Embody planetary energies & receive your Karma Walk.

• Afternoon (1pm–3pm): Advanced Class to receive your Dharma Walk. (Prerequisite: Completion of the Initial Class or teacher permission).

You’re invited to a new cycle of The Astrology Walking Yoga of Murshid Samuel Lewis with Yasmin Spiegel and Amina Meyer.  We will learn about and practice embodying the energies of the planets in our solar system through readings, meditation, energy exchanges, breath and walking concentrations. This brings a depth of understanding to Murshid’s 56 year old practice. We will look at your strengths and challenges in order to develop awareness and intuition. In this class we will give each student a Karama walk. Murshid SAM encouraged these practices as a way for us to enhance our attunement to each other and to the One Being. Join us for this 7-class series at the Mentorgarten in SF - the third Saturdays of the month. It is recommended that the course be taken as a whole.

In addition we will offer an advanced class for graduates of the initial class. This group will further the study and application of the planetary energies guided by each attendee’s astrology chart. In this class each person will receive their Darma Walk.

 Sacred Sister's Circle: "Who are our Heroines?"

Throughout all time, women have come together to celebrate our unity, to pass along traditions, and to support each other in times of joy and grief. Women are the keepers of the ancestral memories, and the teachers for the next generations and the next. Who inspires you? Who do you admire? Look to? Revere as a Wise Woman? Bring your heart's warmth and remembrance of a "Mother, Sister, Daughter" (real or mythical, known or historic) who has touched you with the Truth, example, her Being! Together we will share our appreciation for these special women and discover what we share in common with their vision and courage.

• When: Thursday, September 24th, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

• What to bring: A picture, poem, object, or another way to bring the person into the circle. We will construct an altar using these objects together.

Held by Amy, Shakti & Yasmin: We are honored to have Yasmin Cogswell Spiegel helping to hold our circle this month. Yasmin met Murshid S.A.M. in 1968 and has spent her life embodying his practical, joyful teachings on breath, walk, and rhythm. As a Family Law attorney and mediator for 35 years, she brings a deep capacity for holding space for families through trauma, with the power of the Zikr serving as the steady beat of her heart.

Dances of Universal Peace - Back at the Mentorgarten!

As we transition into the fall season, our pop-up Dances of Universal Peace are moving back home! Join us for a beautiful afternoon of song, breath, and movement. If the weather is sunny and bright, we will gather outside across the street at Precita Park; otherwise, we will be cozy inside the Mentorgarten.
