  About the Gathering: Join Khusrau and Shakti to open your hearts and rejoice in the divine names! We will begin with seated, call-and-response chanting (sankirtan and other languages) before flowing naturally into the Dances of Universal Peace.

  After a few opening chants, we will shift to an "open mic" format where the microphone is passed to anyone who wishes to lead. (If you would like to lead a chant or Dance, please email us at khankahsame101@gmail.com!)

  What to Expect:

  • A Welcoming Space: Whether you are a seasoned chanter or completely new to Kirtan and the Dances, you are warmly invited. No experience is necessary—just bring an open heart!

  • Community Connection: Experience the purifying joy of singing and dancing together.

  • Nourishment: Stay after the event to connect and share a delicious, homemade bowl of Kitchari (a savory, healing Indian meal of rice and beans) along with warm chai tea.
